Sheltered Housing

We provide sheltered housing (housing for older people), in many parts of South Wales. Sheltered housing offers security and support which enables people to live independently and maintain a tenancy.

Our sheltered housing has a range of 1 and 2 bedroom apartments with their own bathroom, kitchen, living room and with shared use of a communal lounge, laundry facilities and gardens. The communal lounge is mostly used for social activities which vary between schemes.

Many schemes have a dedicated full or part-time manager who is responsible for day to day operations and supervision. In some areas, we also provide a tenancy support service to help our tenants and people living in the wider community to live independently.

Sheltered accommodation will normally be allocated to people aged 55+. In some instances, we may consider allocating accommodation to younger people once a support needs assessment has been carried out to assess the level of support required.

Our Sheltered Housing is available in the Blaenau Gwent, Bridgend, Caerphilly, Cardiff, Neath Port Talbot and Torfaen local authority areas.
