The opportunity:

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our friendly team in Capel Grange Nursing Home, Newport.  

Capel Grange is Linc Care’s first purpose-built community nursing home in Newport. We opened in 2009 and provide high-quality person-centred care. Situated next to one of our Extra Care Schemes, this home provides nursing care for 72 people with a variety of care and physical needs including dementia and end of life care.  

PLEASE NOTE: Linc Cymru is a sponsorship licence holder. However, we are not currently offering sponsorship to new employees. Please therefore do not apply if you require sponsorship to work with us.  

The main duties of this role include: 

  • You will work alongside our highly trained staff team of Care Assistants, Senior Care Assistants and Nursing team to support approximately 15 residents each night within a specially assigned ‘community’. 

  • Focusing on our residents often complex needs will allow you to build on your experience of working in Nursing and EMI care. 

  • You will take responsibility as a ‘named nurse’, giving you the opportunity not only to build excellent professional relationships, but also to ensure the care you give always respects the personal wishes and circumstances of each individual. 

What we need from you: 

  • Experience in working with residents – this role is based within a nursing home setting so experience of working with the residents is essential 

  • Ability to show empathy, understanding and experience in a care setting. You will be expected to work closely with our residents and be able to identify their specific needs.  

  • Well-developed time management skills with the ability to work under pressure – to ensure the smooth running of the home’s routine. 

  • Ability to make balanced, clear, and timely decisions to ensure the best decisions and outcomes are met for our residents, by taking a pro-active approach in consulting and involving others in decision making. 

  • Takes a pro-active approach to consulting and involving others in decision making process as appropriate. 

  • Registered Nurse and relevant qualifications 

  • IT skills - Microsoft Office. 

  • Flexibility – this is a bank role, 0 hours per week. This role is ideal for someone who wants extra hours to work around other commitments, cannot commit to contracted hours or shifts or wants flexibility on when they work!
