Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update - 17 March
Following the latest guidance from UK and Welsh Government, we have decided to implement additional measures as part of our 'delay' phase response.
We are meticulously following daily guidance from the NHS and Public Health Wales amongst others, and have made the important decision to suspend visitors into our homes until further notice. Residents receiving end of life care will be allowed visitors, but this must be arranged with staff on duty.
To safeguard the future of our services, we have contingency plans in place regarding staffing to ensure we can continue to deliver high quality care.
We understand this must be a very worrying time for you, so we are committed to ensuring you are able to stay connected with your loved one. We are encouraging relatives to keep in touch either through digital devices with the support of our staff, or through personal landlines.
We will ensure that our Nurisng Home Facebook pages are kept updated with any developments.

We will still be carrying out emergency repairs and will undertake any appropriate health and safety measures required to do so. To report an emergency repair, you can call: 0800 072 0966
Our Housing Officers and Community Safety Officers will no longer be carrying out face to face visits, however you can still contact them by phone and email. If you feel you would benefit from a regular call from your Housing Officer or Community Safety Officer, please contact them to let them know.
If you are self-isolating or are suspected to have Coronavirus, please contact your Housing Officer as soon as possible to let us know.
Our office on Newport Road is now closed to visitors and we will update our website and social media channels if this changes.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update - 13 March
Our response will develop as the situation changes, we are currently in phase one of our approach. This sees the below impact.
At our nursing homes all visitors and staff will have their temperature checked on arrival. If anyone has a temperature above 37.8 degrees, they will be asked to leave immediately.
The visitor times at our nursing homes have also changed. In order to minimise risk, visitors are welcome to visit our nursing homes between 12pm and 4pm on Saturday 14 March and Sunday 15 March.
From Monday 16 March, visiting hours will be from 2pm-4pm.
Only emergency and urgent repairs will be carried out in your homes. If you are self-isolating, only emergency repairs will be carried out.
Our reception on Newport Road is now closed to visitors.
Events at Lysaght Institute will continue with extra precautions and sanitising.
To ensure good hygiene and cleanliness, all our schemes, nursing homes and offices are receiving additional cleaning and sanitising.
If we need to move to stage two of our approach, we will update this webpage and keep you informed.
