At Linc, we are working closely with the local authorities and Public Health Wales to ensure that we are prepared to support the delivery of the vaccination programme to the priority groups that are identified at a UK level by the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI).
Care home staff and residents (Capel Grange, Penylan House and Ty Coch Nursing Homes) have been identified as one of the priority groups to receive the vaccination. However, the availability is prioritised by the local authority and is dependent on the status of each home at the time of the appointment.
Our care staff will be able to receive the vaccination from today, (Monday 14 December) by attending a mass vaccination centre.
Those who cannot attend the centre will be able to have their vaccine by a roll out programme to both our residents and remaining staff via mobile units.
