Avondale House: 17 Affordable Homes Delivered in Cardiff
Built on the site of the former Duke of Clarence Pub, this scheme has delivered 17 well-designed, energy-efficient apartments for affordable rent, providing much-needed homes in an area of high demand.
With the rising cost of living, decent, well-insulated homes are more important than ever. Avondale House has been built with sustainability and affordability in mind, featuring a fabric-first approach to maximise energy efficiency, low-energy water and heating systems, and full compliance with Welsh Government decarbonisation standards. These homes will not only offer comfort and security but also help to reduce environmental impact.
Situated close to Cardiff city centre, the development ensures residents have easy access to essential services, transport links, and local amenities. Funded through the Welsh Government’s Social Housing Grant Programme, Avondale House represents an investment in better housing, healthier communities, and a more sustainable future.
A big thank you to Willis Construction for their dedication in bringing this project to life. We look forward to welcoming residents into their new homes!
