Benches donated to Cardiff school and public park

Community

Pupils at a Cardiff school can relax outside during their breaks on two new benches in their grounds.

The benches are made from recycled plastic and donated by Linc Cymru, a housing and care provider, to St David’s Primary Church in Wales School in Pentywn.

Another two benches are now inside Parc Waun Fach, a ten-minute walk from the school.

Shelly Leonard, Linc Cymru’s social value officer, said: “The headteacher told us that pupils and staff are ’thrilled’ with the new seating area which was lovely to hear.

“Cardiff Council parks team happily accepted our donation and it’s given walkers in the lovely park somewhere to rest, chat and enjoy being outdoors.

“The benches are maintenance-free so they’ll be hassle-free for the school and park staff.”
