Cwrt yr Osaf Extra Care Development, Pontypridd - Progress Report
Cwrt yr Osaf, which is a partnership project between Rhondda Cynon Taf Council and Linc, is making good progress. The building's roof and facade are now complete and our contractor Jehu are working hard to keep the project on track, despite the challenges being faced during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Extra Care schemes enable residents to live independent and active lives, while receiving the care and support they may need. Cwrt yr Osaf will comprise of 56 one -bed apartments and 4 two-bed apartments, as well dining and lounge areas, a hair salon and communal landscaped gardens.
Scott Sanders, CEO, said: “The partnership between Linc and RCT council is a fantastic example of how homes for older people can be created across many different communities. Cwrt yr Orsaf will revitalise the former Pontypridd Magistrates’ Court site, extending the availability of tailored accommodation-based care provision. We are proud that in a time that has proven difficult for all industries, alongside our building contractor Jehu, we are still on track for completion this year."
