Linc and Castell Group support bowling club   

Members of Pontymister Athletics Bowling Club will be competing this season in a new strip thanks to Linc Cymru and Castell Group.  

Linc has a community benefits fund where contractors working with the social landlord bring extra benefits to the local area.   

Staff from Castell are building 18 new affordable homes for rent for Linc on the site of the former petrol station on Newport Road.  

Shelly Leonard, social value officer at Linc Cymru, said: “We went to the club for a bowling lesson and saw the members wearing their new kit. They looked fantastic and were so grateful for this donation.   

“Wherever we work, we chat to local groups and organisations near our sites and see how we can support them. Sport brings people together which means closer communities and that’s what Linc is all about. I'd also like to thank Castell for being so keen to help. They brought a few members of staff to the bowling club and had fun trying out the sport."
