New CEO announced for Linc
SCOTT SANDERS has been appointed as the new CEO for housing association Linc.
Formerly a Director at Pobl Group, Scott offers a wealth of business and leadership experience from the housing and social care sectors.
On his appointment Scott said: “I have been aware of Linc’s work for many years and admired the positive difference it has made to the lives of its tenants and residents. Robert has led a very successful business and it is evident that everyone involved has a clear ambition to grow the company and address the Programme for Government in Wales. Linc is extremely well placed to support the exciting opportunities for Housing, Health and Social Care and I look forward to working in partnership to provide greater wellbeing for people in Wales.”
Scott has held Directors roles with responsibility for Asset Management, Development, Housing and Corporate Leadership. He has worked with Pobl Group for the past 13 years leading Charter Housing and Derwen Cymru. He is a Non-Executive Director for ASH Wales, Abbeyfield Wales Society and Community Housing Cymru.
Scott is set to take up his new appointment on Monday 5 March. He will take over the post from current Chief Executive Robert Smith who announced, in June 2017, his plans to retire after 14 years at the helm.
Announcing Scott’s appointment, Richard Norton, Chair of the Board for Linc said: “Scott’s knowledge and experience of affordable housing and social care is outstanding and we look forward to him providing the executive leadership for our future. He joins at an exciting time in Linc’s development, and takes over from Robert who has steered the association to a position of great strength. Scott shares our ambition of making a major contribution to Housing and Care in Wales and ensuring the wellbeing of our tenants and residents.”
