Spacious Social Homes Completed on Site of Former Bridgend Pub
Castell Group and Linc Cymru today announced the completion of four new social homes on the site of the former Crown Inn public house in Pyle, Bridgend.
The modern, three bedrooms homes offer spacious living areas, downstairs wet rooms and ample parking.
Tenants will benefit from lower fuel costs as the properties are designed to obtain the maximum energy efficiency certification (EPC A).
Properties are fitted with electric heating rather than gas, and solar PV panels on the roof promote decarbonisation and decrease CO2 emissions.
“We’re delighted to have completed these four much-needed social homes,” said Dorian Payne, Managing Director of Castell Group. “These properties will provide affordable, high-quality accommodation for families, and we’re proud to have worked in partnership with Linc Cymru to deliver them.”
“We’re passionate about creating environments where people can flourish,” said Executive Director Property and Commercial, Louise Attwood, of Linc Cymru. “These new homes will provide a safe and secure place for families to live, and we’re grateful to Castell Group for their partnership in delivering them.”
The homes are located in a secluded street in Pyle, Bridgend. The site was previously occupied by the Crown Inn public house, which closed in 2008 and was demolished in 2018.
The development was part funded by the Welsh Government.
